The Oxford Safe Haven (OSH) provides an additional resource out of hours and an alternative to the hospital emergency department for people experiencing a crisis with their mental health.

Recovery College offers opportunities to learn about mental health and recovery by providing a unique curriculum designed to support people to recognise their own resourcefulness, talents and skills in order to become experts in their own self-care, make informed choices and achieve the things they want in life.

Maytree is a registered charity helping people in suicidal crisis in a non-medical setting. They offer support for people in suicidal crisis 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

They have a respite centre which offers a free 4-night/5-day stay, and the opportunity to be befriended and heard in complete confidence, without judgement and with compassion and warmth.

University Counselling Service

The University Counselling Service offers short-term and focussed emotional and psychological support to students. It aims to help students gain insight and make changes by taking responsibility to fulfil their academic and personal potential. A variety of therapists work at the service. It offers individual sessions, groups, workshops and online resources.

University Sexual Harassment and Violence Support Service

This support service offers free confidential support and advice to any student who has been affected by sexual harassment or violence. It provides students with a safe place to be heard, independent of their college or department, regardless of what has happened.

OUSU’s Student Advice Service

Student Advice is an independent advice and information service exclusively available to Oxford University Students. 

Appointments can be made by emailing advice@oxfordsu.ox.ac.uk. Drop in sessions are held between 1st and 8th week (inclusive) at 10am - 4pm, Monday - Thursday.
